Home at last!

Enjoy the pics of our precious little peanut! Luke likes that she wears "glubs" (gloves). We are home at last! It seemed like a long time, but now its all over and it seems as though it went by really fast! God's grace :) We arrived home yesterday evening. Her jaundice levels went down overnight, so we thought thought we might be home earlier...but Saturday morning the nurses and pediatrician said she needed to feed better or she might have to stay another night. She had lost about 9% of her body weight since birth...they told us typically they expect babies to lose about 3 or 4%. She was down to weighing 5 lbs. 1 oz.! Thankfully she pulled through and chugged her milk at lunch time :) They decided they would let us go home! It was a long ride home, and a bit painful for me, but the trip went well. They gave Jolee oxygen for the trip and we had her levels checked when we got to Granby. (Thanks Jeff!) She needs a little bit of oxygen, so she is staying on until we get her checked again on Monday. It is so nice to be home with my family...its indescribable! I'm tired, yes, but I'm just so happy to be here. God has blessed us in so many many ways. (Yawn...and now, off to feed the baby!)

  1. WOW! Congratulations! I guess I've been away from the computer longer than I thought. She is so beautiful! I'm so glad to hear that everything went so well. I will keep you in my prayers!
