Stained

I have a stain on the knee of my jeans. Some weeks back I took Jolee in for her blood draw. She ripped her bandaid off and before I knew it she had bled all over herself and me. No big deal...I know how to get blood stains out. Well, the day got busy and I forgot about it. And somehow my jeans went through the wash without treating the blood stain. Boo. The mark has faded to a yellowish stain now, but it is still noticeable...faint, but still there. And no amount of treating, soaking, or wishing will remove it now. It is set in. How unlike being washed with the blood of Christ. In church this morning I was reminded that Jesus' blood washes us white as snow. The marks of sin, however deeply set in, are washed clean...completely gone when we ask for His forgiveness. Jesus' stain treatment is the best of all! Who does your laundry?
